The Brisbane Hustlers is Brisbane’s only GLBTI and all inclusive rugby union team.

Originally founded in 2006, the Hustlers reformed in early 2012 after a hiatus and the team successfully competed in the 2012 Purchas Cup (Australia’s national gay rugby competition).

Building a formidable side, the Brisbane Hustlers have made their mark in Queensland Suburban Rugby Union and Pacific and international gay and inclusive rugby union competitions.

They first won the Purchas Cup in 2014 when they hosted the tournament at Ballymore and in 2017 claimed the cup once again in Melbourne. In 2019, they will host the cup for the third time.

The Brisbane Hustlers have competed with distinction in the world gay and inclusive rugby championships, the Bingham Cup, finishing runner-up in 2014 in Sydney and semi-finals in Nashville 2016 and Amsterdam 2018.
